Katerina Bodrunova

Katerina Bodrunova was born in Russia in 1985, and currently lives in Moscow.

Bodrunova has had three solo exhibitions in Moscow and took part in a collective exhibition in the Art Paris 2011 fair at the Grand Palais. We are planning to host an exhibition of Katerina’s work in London, which will encompass still photography and, exploring another way of using pictures – stop motion photo animation.

Katerina’s underwater series is a product of a restless mind searching to refine the real and unreal. One year ago she discovered a necessity to open up underwater possibilities, with its weightless simplicity and physical realisation of complexity. Moving far from her roots in fashion photography to explore forms submerged in water, Bodrunova creates magical imagery in her underwater worlds.
