Gillian Plummer

Creative photographer Gillian Plummer uses a macro lens to render natural detail in an almost abstract way.

Instinctively she is drawn towards flowers, particularly wild ones. “I like the fact they are ‘uncultivated’ and that many have important herbal medicinal qualities.”

Gillian was First Prize winner in the ‘Edible Category’ of this year’s ‘RHS Photographic Awards’, and a finalist in the ‘International Garden Photographer of the Year’ Awards 2010, exhibiting at Kew Botanical Gardens, May onwards and has won the Professional Garden Photographers’ Association Image of the Month in both March & April 2011.

Gillian is a member of the Garden Media Guild and Garden Photographers’ Association.
